INDONESIAN BUMBLE BEE GEMSTONE JEWELLERY

Bumble Bee Stone (BBS) is a vivid yellow-to-orange patterned gem from West Java, Indonesia. Since 2003, production has continued, with an estimated 150 tonnes of lapidary material produced. Colorful fibrous calcite was discovered on Mount Papandayan in West Java, Indonesia. Radially developed fibrous calcite with a characteristic yellow, orange, and black banding makes up the material. Finely scattered realgar is primarily responsible for the orange and yellow hues.
