A modern gold jewelry manufacturing factory was set up in Jakarta
in 2003. It is an expansion of an earlier smaller factory. Indonesia
is seen by De Beers as a market of considerable potential, hence
they have pushed up their diamond wholesale jewelry promotion budget.
Diamond jewelry is being promoted by them in Jakarta and 17 other
cities of the country. Indonesia is the ninth largest diamond market

gems and jewelry give and take with the outside world. It is scheduled
