SHRENUJ TO MARKET TRAPZ DIAMONDS IN INDIA : Mumbai-headquartered Diamond trading company (DTC) sightholder shrenuj ad company Ltd. will form a joint venture with the Israeli firm SEA-Trading, a distribution for the Wholesale gemstone Jewellery Trapz brand of special cut diamonds by purchasing a 33 per cent stake in the company for around Rs. 5 crore ($ 1 million). Under the agreement the diamonds will be manufactured in Israel and later be marketed through Shrenuj's worldwide distribution network. Wholesale Ammonite Jewellery
"The joint venture will broaden our product profile" said Sharenuj president vishal Doshi. " While we have manufacturing and rough souring expertise, SWA will bring in their skills in new product development", he added. "This will strengthen our position as a one-stop shop for niche products", remarked Shrenuj managing director shreyas doshi. The venture is expected to realise sales of around $ 5 million in the first fiscal year of operations ending arch 2007 and is likely to grow by 40 per cent in the subsequent year to $ 7 million.
