Collective Indian gems and jewellery pavilions are being put up in some other trade and industry fairs. Some privately arranged gems and jewellery fairs have been held at Delhi, Trichy, Jaipur, Surat, etc. Tools and Machinery expos are held at Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, etc. to encourage modernization. Group participation of the Indian gems and jewellery sector in major foreign fairs and expos is being organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council. Additionally, the Indo-Argyle Diamond Council has been assisting Indian jewellery manufacturers in promoting their modern jewellery studded with Australian smalls in the U.S. market. ICA Global Congress:
The 10- biennial global Congress of the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) was held in Jaipur from January 5 to 9,2003. The logo of the Congress named 'Jewel in the Crown' was created in Jaipur. This gem-studded golden crown weighing 460 gm.
