Gem & Jeweller Exporters Association

Constituted in 1955 as the Precious Stones Importers & Exporters Association, this organization was later re-named as the Gem & Jewellery Exporters' Association.Wholesale labrorite Jewellery It has been working for advancement of the gems and jewellery trade, particularly the export sector. The Association has been a member of CIBJO, the apex body of the gems and jewellery trade in the world.
The Mumbai based Association publishes an information bulletin for the gems and jewellery trade. It also runs the Gemmological Institute of India, (established in 1971) Mumbai, which offers laboratory services for gems testing, identifications, grading, etc., and regular training facilities for gemmology, diamond grading and assorting. This Institute which offers correspondence courses also and organizes exhibitions and seminars too.
