Costume Jewellery : The Swedish consumption of costume jewellery averages Kroner 138 million. About 80% of this value is accounted for by jewellery of non-precious metals and mixed material. A little less than one third of the products in terms of value are produced in Sweden.

Diamond Occurrence: Diamonds were found during the last decade in an area of Kimberlite on the Baltic Island of Alnon on the East Coast of Sweden near Sandoval. This was the first confirmed diamond find ever made in Western Europe but follow up action is still awaited pending feasibility study for commercial exploitation.
