International Trade Fairs: To develop precious trade with other countries, China has started holding two annual International jewellery fairs one, each at Beijing and Shanghai. Luxury China at Shanghai, the latest and best international gems and jewellery fair was started by China in September, 2002 with Vicuña, Italy's collaboration for boosting gems and jewellery give i.e. with the outside world. Foreign Trade: All trade, inland and foreign, stands nationalized in socialist China. Trade with foreign lands is undertaken by the National Trade Corporation and China Council. Imports from India: China has been importing some gems and jewellery, mostly diamonds, from India.
